Digital Media Strategist. Photographer.

43 year old Scott has been heavily involved with personal computers since his very early teens. He is a surfer, writer, photographer, musician, and a very skilled online marketeer and entrepreneur.

In the mid 1980's Scott began his business career following his father Peter into finance with Kerry Packers' Consolidated Press - Australia's richest man and media mogul - owner of the Nine Network and Australian Consolidated Press.

After a few years it was time to leave the Packer fold and move into the rapidly expanding personal computer industry with ComputerLand, the world's fasting growing computer reseller.  Within a couple of years he was National IBM Product Marketing Manager and saw a bloke build a business from around $25m to over $150m in less than three years.

In the early 1990's, he took off to London to explore new "multimedia computing" where he teamed up with a Scottish entrepreneur and launched an advertising industry creative directory of the UK leading creative talent - models, photographers, designers etc onto CD-ROM.  That business was sold to a major publishing company in less than eighteen months.

After a couple of years of consulting work to corporate and government on new media and a stint with Telsta, the Maxy family took over management of the Intersection Tavern at Ramsgate, Sydney in 1996. It took over eighteen months to turn the business around and create a community for people to work and play so they'd tell their friends.

In November 1999 the hotel was sold and in April 2000, Scott and his father Peter launched BANGitUP.com, an internet portal for the $141b Australian Building and Construction Industry.  Over the next seven years BANGitUP grew to over 75,000 builders and trades listed. In 2007, after his fathers passing away, Scott resigned from BANGitUP and the business was sold.

In January 2008 Scott began consulting to RidgeFilms to build their corporate video production business.  By June they ranked #1 on Google for Corporate Video Production Sydney and are now positioned as leaders in Internet Video Production. In July 2008, Scott reestablished maxys.com (Digital Media Strategy and Internet Marketing Services) and formed a joint venture, "The CLIVE Video Project" with Ridge Films.
