Chris had an interest in film-making and videography in his early teens where he grew up in South Sydney. He produced wedding, party and music videos for friends as a videographer and video editor.
At age 20, Chris directed his first short film for a university project. He had a taste as a Creative Director and he liked it. Being a Creative Director bought together all the roles he was interested in, videography, video editing and finally working with a narrative that made sense to an audience.
From there on, Chris was involved in all areas of his projects, even writing his own music. He wanted to learn as much as he could about film-making and video production, attending short courses along the way.
For years Chris divided his time working as an Audio-Visual Videographer and Creative Director both locally and in the UK, until his return in 2001. By this stage he had the expertise and the money to start a serious professional video and film company.
The film company was Ridge Films, opened in 2002. Chris had engaged a colleague, Brendan Southall to help him out. Ridge Films represented all the years they had worked together now bundle into a professional video and film company - with responsibilities!
By 2005, Chris had directed numerous short films and company videos, winning awards for his work all over the world. He was contracted as 1st Assistant Director by two Australian feature film companies. Years later Chris' name was on the silver screen with 'Gabriel' (movie), released to cinemas world-wide by Sony Pictures.
In 2008, Ridge Films Corporate Pty Ltd started a joint venture, www.clivevideo.com (TV Presenter and company videos for websites). CLIVE streamed over a million videos within it's first 18 months, Chris directed every presenter in our green screen studio. CLIVE also bought a lot of new clients such as Dragons, Harvey World Travel and The Good Guys.
Most of Chris' life has been spent crafting his skills and his family keep his ego under control. He's got a great sense of humour, loves the work and always strives to create the most professional video possible.
