In this guide, we will explore how to effectively use the three-in-one teleprompter for your presentations and virtual meetings. Follow these tips to enhance your performance and maintain audience engagement.

Steps to Utilise the Three-in-One Teleprompter Effectively

Setup and Initial Use

  • Selfie Cam Setup: Start by positioning your iMac on one side and the teleprompter max on the other. Open QuickTime to view yourself in real-time, providing immediate feedback on your performance.
  • Launching Teleprompter Software: Open your teleprompter software and drag it into the teleprompter max. Ensure the text width is narrow to avoid obvious left-to-right reading, keeping it centred for better eye contact.

Using Zoom with the Teleprompter

  • Zoom Integration: Launch and connect to Zoom on your iMac. Drag the Zoom window into the teleprompter max to ensure your audience appears directly over the lens. Adjust the window so that your recipients are positioned correctly, allowing you to maintain eye contact.
  • Managing Multiple Participants: For meetings with multiple participants, use the Zoom view options. Choose gallery view and drag additional participant windows to the side on your iMac. This prevents broad head turns and keeps your focus near the lens.

Advanced Presentation Techniques

  • Slide Sharing: Instead of traditional screen sharing, use the teleprompter to present slides dynamically. Switch to your slide deck using a separate device (computer, iPad, or iPhone). Pin the slide deck and adjust the picture-in-picture window to maintain eye contact while presenting.
  • Switching Views: Utilize the ATEM mini switcher to transition between your live presentation and slides seamlessly. This keeps your presentation dynamic and engaging, allowing you to control what the audience sees.

Optimising Your Presentation

  • Maintaining Control and Engagement: The three-in-one teleprompter allows you to control your presentation, keeping you as the focal point. Avoid remaining in the picture-in-picture mode for the entire presentation to keep your audience engaged.
  • Detail Visibility: Drag the slide-sharing screen onto your main display for better visibility. Keep participant faces in the teleprompter view to maintain eye contact.

By incorporating these techniques, you can effectively use your three-in-one teleprompter to create dynamic and engaging presentations. Spend time familiarising yourself with the teleprompter's features and software to take full advantage of this powerful tool.
