TeleprompterMax Not Working? Here's Quick Tips To Get It Started
Feb 12, 2025If your TeleprompterMax isn’t turning on, follow these steps to identify and fix the issue. This guide will walk you through power supply checks, cable connections, and other troubleshooting steps to get it running again.
Step 1: Check If the TeleprompterMax Is Receiving Power
- Make sure your Desktop Studio is switched on.
- If the TeleprompterMax is completely black, the power supply may not be connected properly.
- If you see a blue screen, power is running to the teleprompter, but there’s no connection from the computer.
Step 2: Check HDMI or USB-C Connection
- Ensure the HDMI or USB-C cable is firmly plugged into your computer.
- If the connection seems fine, restart your computer—sometimes a reboot can resolve the issue.
Step 3: Confirm the VGA Switch Is Set to HDMI
- Locate the VGA switch and ensure it is set to HDMI.
- If this switch has been accidentally flipped, the teleprompter won’t display correctly.
Step 4: Inspect the Transformer and Power Board Connection
- Find the white power board where all Desktop Studio components are plugged in.
- Identify the teleprompter transformer—it looks different from the others.
- Check that it is firmly plugged in, including any universal adapter attachments.
Step 5: Test a Different Power Outlet
- If the TeleprompterMax still isn’t working, test a different outlet on the power board.
- Plug the transformer into another working power socket to rule out an issue with the original outlet.
By following these steps, you can quickly diagnose and fix common issues preventing the TeleprompterMax from turning on. If the problem persists after these checks, further troubleshooting or a replacement may be needed.
