[00:00:00] Chris Schwager: Accounting accounting's boring, or at least that's what we've been led to believe. But here's a secret. The most boring topics are often the most valuable when presented. Right? Some of the smartest financial minds are sitting on gold, but you'd never know it because their videos suck and then they're snooze, fests the truth.

[00:00:18] Chris Schwager: You don't need to be flashy. You need to be structured. You need rhythm, and you need confidence. And that's where all the best financial creators, that's what they did before they blew up. They started with, hi, I'm Chris Schwager, video coach and founder of the Complete Video Success System, and I've spent decades helping professionals create high impact videos that build trust, generate leads, and drive business success.

Have you ever thought no one wants to watch my video about accounting or finance isn't interesting enough for video content?

[00:01:04] Chris Schwager: That mindset is holding you back because I've seen it over and over again. Clever professionals sitting on a wealth of insight, but. Their delivery's flat. It's awkward. It's overly technical, it doesn't engage. And in this episode we're talking about how to fix that. We recently had a coaching session with a finance professional who's invested in a full desktop video set up, lighting, pro camera, studio, mic, the works, but all of that investment, the gears gathering dust.

[00:01:33] Chris Schwager: Why? Because it's not about the tech. It's about taking responsibility, dedicating time, showing up, and learning how to speak with clarity and confidence. And this is a common pattern, especially in technical industries like finance and accounting, where they tend to overexplain or worse, they're using PowerPoint or monotone, voiceovers.

[00:01:54] Chris Schwager: The perception is this is how training is supposed to sound, isn't it? But, but when we dig deeper, there's often a hidden ambition, a desire to be more like Huberman lab or diary of a CEO or something engaging like that. Some sharp, high-end quality content. And that's absolutely possible, but you can't start there.

[00:02:19] Chris Schwager: That's gotta, you gotta, you gotta earn that polish. What's missing isn't production value, it's rhythm, it's simplicity, it's structure. And you need a workflow that removes friction from the script to the recording, to the editing. You need a message that's bite-sized. It's human, and that's clear. And you need to stop trying to sound smart.

[00:02:39] Chris Schwager: Start trying, trying to be understood. You know, we started. With one goal structure, every piece of content needs to fit into one of these three tiers. Number one, high-end content like program overviews or course overview content. Outsource it to a team who can polish that properly. I. Okay. Number two, simple internal videos for the course itself.

[00:03:04] Chris Schwager: Keep it light and quick and easy to record and edit with tools like ch uh, clip Champ or Cap Cut. And number three, the bulk of the content stuff that you can be producing to promote the course can be a i i assisted scripts and structured interviews with constant performance rhythm. Okay. Constant performance, rhythm, and the rhythm matters because right now a lot of smart people are making dumb mistakes on camera, long pauses, rambling thoughts, stiff shoulders.

[00:03:37] Chris Schwager: It doesn't matter how good the advice is, if it's delivered messy, the trust drops instantly, and that's why performance is step one. You don't need to be natural. You need to have a system, get into a rhythm. Understand the methodology. We role play, we rehearse, we record, we refine. And the same way you coach your clients through their financial future, we coach professionals to get video fit and it doesn't take years.

[00:04:07] Chris Schwager: It takes focus, discipline, and the right prompts. And I say prompts because that's where all of this is heading. Even interview style videos, which many accountants love, need planning, just like a good report. There's a structure, there's a flow, there's an outcome. And if you want your audience to stay engaged, you've gotta lead them there.

[00:04:29] Chris Schwager: And that's what we help them do step by step. We don't start at Huber man. We start with the three minutes of clear structured thinking. No. Beard stroking. No guessing. Just solid repeatable delivery because simplicity wins.
