Mac Users: Turn Off This Setting for a Sharper Desktop Studio Image
May 06, 2026If your Premium Desktop Studio suddenly looks soft, hazy, or like the background is slightly blurred on apps like Google Meet, Teams, Riverside, or Zoom, it’s usually caused by Apple’s Portrait Mode feature.
Recent macOS updates can automatically turn this on, even if background blur is disabled inside the app itself.
How to Fix It
- Open your video app
- Click the green camera icon in the top-right menu bar on your Mac
- Find Portrait
- Turn it OFF
Your image should immediately look sharper and clearer.
