Steps to Incorporate a Switcher into Your DIY Desktop Studio
- Connect the Switcher Power Supply
- Plug the switcher's power supply into the power board of your DIY Desktop Studio.
- Ensure the switcher powers on and off with the main switch of the studio.
- Access and Connect the HDMI to USB Converter
- arefully cut open the wrapped cable to access the HDMI to USB converter inside.
- Connect the HDMI cable to channel 2 of the switcher.
- Connect to Your Computer
- For a standard switcher, plug the USB-C end into the ATEM Mini and the other end into your computer.
- Select "Black Magic" as your input source instead of "Cam Link 4K."
- Set Up Advanced Switcher (Optional)
- If using an advanced switcher with recording capability, connect the one terabyte drive with USB-C.
- Ensure the drive lights up, indicating it is detected by the switcher.
- Plug the supplied HDMI cable into the switcher's output and connect the other end to your Cam Link 4K and computer.
- Preview and Start Recording
- Preview the setup to ensure proper configuration.
- Use your favorite software apps to control and switch between sources.
- Hit the record button on the switcher to start recording.
